An original old Dala horse from Sweden made in the 1940s.
The Dala horse is a wooden horse-shaped figure that is made in the Swedish region of Dalarna.
The horses are traditionally colored red and have a painted saddle and bridle in a green and white pattern in traditional gourd painting. The tradition of Dala horses can be traced back to the 17th century and goes back to carved wooden toys that the inhabitants of the area made during the long winter nights, when cold weather and darkness hardly allowed for any other work. A real collector's item for collectors with a love of Sweden ❤️
